Obtain IP from a MAC address

does not happen often but if I know which IP took a network device which, for some reason, I can not access directly but which I know the MAC Address I could use the following steps:

• (Clearing the ARP cache )
• $ ip neigh flush all
• (Launch PING across the sub- with fping)
  
• $ fping-c 1-g-q 192.168.1.0/24
• (use grep to search and filter MAC)
  
• $ arp-n
